Our reward for the early start today was this spectacular sun rise over the Peir in Pismo beach.
Also this wonderful setting in the Hotel restaurant where we had breakfast was another good moment.
On the road again to Los Angeles to catch our cruise to Mexico. Very excited.
We arrived in Long Beach after a long and confusing drive at about 12.30. We had to drop the rental car off which we had a lot of trouble finding, making us 1 hour late for drop off.
Once we had sorted all the paper work we called a cab and a few minutes later we arrived at the cruise ship terminal. Boarding was quick and flawless. Spotted a couple of other Aussie families in line. It was good to hear an Aussie accent.
Carnival Miracle here we come.
Our cabin was on Deck 4, mid ship. We had a obstructed balcony view. We were very happy with the location and room itself.
As we hadn't had time to stop for lunch on our way to Long Beach we headed straight to the buffet on Lido deck 9. It wasn't long until I was enjoying my first drink.

Time to set sail and a cruise away party and another drink.
