Las Vegas - Day 1

After an easy morning we had lunch at Johnny Rockets then we headed out.

We made our way to the MGM to do the CSI experience.  The experience was included in our Big Bus ticket.  Being big fans of the show CSI Las Vegas we were all looking forward to seeing the attraction.  Included in our ticket was 1 crime scene,  we reported to the front desk where we were given our CSI vests, a clipboard and pen.  After a short briefing we entered to start our investigation.  We had to take notes, analyse the evidence.  We learnt about all things forensic, blood splatter, finger prints and autopsy.

We stopped at a pizza parlour in New York, New York.  It was the biggest pizza I have ever seen.

We captured this beautiful sunset while we waited to go our Big Bus night tour.

Outside the Excalibur in the Rotunda at 7.30 is where we caught the night tour bus.  We were a little late getting there and were concerned that we wouldn't get good seats on the upper deck.  Not to worry the lovely lady organisating everything said we would all be on the top and it took a couple of buses.  Our larger than life host was Big Bus Barry and oh my he had a loud voice.  The tour was 3 hours including a walking tour of Freemont Street.  The driver and Barry did a great job and timed everything perfectly.

The Mirage Volcano erupted just as we drove by.

The Bellagio fountains came to life just as we drove by fantastic timing and a wonderful sight.

We couldn't resist dessert at Johnny Rockets when we returned to the hotel.
