Day out with Dad

Yesterday Emma had a sleep over at her friends, so David took Hayley out in Grandad's boat.   Hayley was very relaxed and totally at home in the boat, with her feet up and fishing rod in hand.

 

Hayley was lucky enough to catch a little flathead, all on her own (except for baiting the hook and casting the line).  She did it without any fuss, Dad and Grandad only realised that she had caught the fish with she had almost reeled it into the boat.  She was very proud of herself and the fish was released back to the water to grow bigger.  

Grandad let Hayley drive the boat for awhile.  When Hayley wasn't fishing she was entertaining everyone with her opera singing and serving up the bait, because she was the baitshop girl.  A fun day was had by all, so I was told.
