This is our last day in San Diego and I have to say that it was a favourite city by far and today we are off to the Zoo. We were up nice and early so we went for a wander across the road to the wharf to check out some of the boats.
We then jumped into the mini van and headed to one of my favourite experiences here in the USA, Michaels craft shop. I just had to take the opportunity to have one last shop. Although I did have to be careful as our bags were filling. We arrived at the store before opening time and waited.
There was just something special about the store so organised and a little overwhelming. It was a good thing that I knew exactly what I wanted. Projectlife!!!!
We even had time to find Joann's which is another craft store, although I did buy something here it wasn't as good as Michaels.
With the shopping done it was time to head to the Zoo. We managed to get lost even with the GPS, go figure.
Our ticket included Guided Bus Tour. We enjoyed a 35-minute narrated tour on a double-decked bus covering much of the Zoo. It was funny when we passed the Australian Animal enclosure and the guide told everyone that Koala's sleep for 23 hours a day and someone behind Emma and I was shocked and I said to Emma "its a simpler life".
Once off the bus we headed back toward the Australian Animals and maybe we were feeling a little home sick.
Not far from little Australia was the Panda Trek. It was very crowded and the Pandas weren't really interested in impressing the visitors. I was able to catch a few photos of these very cute animals.
We decided to go in two cars. I went with Hayley and David went with Emma. It was very high and I was a little scared. Hayley wasn't scared in the least and made fun of me. I had my iPhone and David had the DSLR but we still managed to take the same photos equals #welltrained.
The Zoo was very nice but not a favour zoo we have been too. Satisfied that we had seen everything we wanted to too we headed home.
I just had to take my goodies out of the bag and take a photo before I packed it all away.
